Cilly Clip™ Fitting Guides

Our simple guides will show you just how easy it is to fit the Cilly Clip™and our door adaptor with little fuss. All our products come with full guides on how to fit them, and our videos are a handy tool to ensure your new purchase has been fitted correctly.

Fitting Your Cilly Clip™

Not only are the Cilly Clip™ a simple design but they are even simpler to fit. Making the perfect workshop, garage, shed or van storage.

Work out how long you want the row of clips to be. Make this as long or short as you like, just fill the space you have available.

Slide the individual clips together using the dovetail joint at the side. (They can be a bit stiff when new, so if this is a problem, just remove the sharp edges with a blade or file).

Fit the lower run of clips onto a firm flat base. No 4 Flat/Flange headed screws are preferred, but normal countersunk screw can work just as well.

Using a silicone tube as a guide, measure where the top run of clips is to go and fix as per the bottom run. Remember to leave a gap between the retaining lips to make it easy to insert the silicone tubes.

Remember also, that you can fix Cilly Clip™ vertically, horizontally, and even hanging from under a shelf or ceiling.

Remember, BE IMAGINATIVE!

Fitting the Door Adaption Kit

The ideal van storage option, keep your silicone tube in place whilst you’re in motion.

You will need to provide a length of 25mm hanging rail, available from any Screwfix, Toolstation, etc.

This extra piece of kit is for those of you who want to fit your tubes your van doors, but, like me, have a habit of slamming the doors really hard. Please be advised that many users do not use this and have had no problems.

Position the bar holder about halfway up the silicone tubes and fix to the base using No 4 countersunk screws.

Cut the bar to length, but leave it a little long, unless you prefer to have a very tight, precise fit.

Place the 2-round stop ends into the ends of the bar and tighten the screw to secure in place.

Then just clip the bar into place in the bar holder, and slam the door shut!

Fitting the Door Silicone Gun Holder

Fit the base first using the screw holes provided, making sure that when the silicone gun sits on the base with the plunger at maximum length, there is still room for it under any shelf/ceiling/or overhang.

Fit the top section with a 365mm space between the top of the base and the bottom of the top section. This should also be in line with the base.

To use the holder, insert the plunger into the top section at a slight angle, bring it in line with the base, raise the gun until the nozzle slots into the hole, and then let it drop into position.

If the cartridge is empty, or nearly empty, you will need to push the plunger hook into the groove on the left-hand side of the top section. If this is not done, the plunger may work itself out of the top section and fall out.

Fitting Canny Clips

Work out how long you want the row of clips to be. Make this as long or short as you like, just fill the space you have available

Using the cans you intend to store as a guide, measure where the top run of clips is to go and fix as per the bottom run. Remember to leave a gap between the retaining lips to make it easy to insert the silicone tubes.

Depending on whether you prefer to store you cans with the caps on or off, and whether you intend to store different lengths of can, you can remove the lip  that stops the can from sliding out of the holders with a multi tool  or hacksaw. Only do this on vertically stored cans and on the top holder only.

If you remove the same lip from the bottom unit, the cans will slide out of the holder
